Bedtime Prayer

Lord if you can hear me now

I have but one request

It’s that you send an angel

To help me get some rest

I’ve tried so hard you see

But I can’t seem to sleep

And even when I do

It doesn’t go too deep

Let your angel quiet my heart

And gently close my eyes

Let its presence fill the air

With heavenly lullabies

I know that you are listening Lord

My angel of dreams will soon be here

Let her tuck me in, and kiss me farewell

Until a new day comes my way

One last thing dear God

Right before I go

I love you and I thank you

For everything you do
